TOPPING FOR ROLLED WHEAT OR OATMEAL CAKE

 

 

INGREDIENTS

Butter 1 qt. (or 4 cups)  
Coconut 1 qt. (or 4 cups)  
Brown sugar 2 qts. (or 8 cups)  
Vanilla 8 tsps.  

 

 

DIRECTIONS:

1.      Combine ingredients and spread over cake as soon as it is taken from the oven.
2.      Return to oven, brown topping at 500° F.,  or cook topping over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes before spreading over cake.
