Beef Stroganoff -Russian Recipe

<Beef Stroganoff



2 lb. round steak

1-2 Tablespoons onion

3 Tablespoons oil

10 oz. beef stock

1 can cream of mushroom

3 Tablespoons flour

¼ cup sour cream


Trim fat from round steak.  Cut steak into cubes, app. 1-inch squares.  Brown in oil until no red appears, then cook in water for 20 minutes to tenderize.  Blend the flour and oil in another saucepan, stirring constantly until light brown.  Stir in beef stock and simmer for 5 minutes.  Add the cream of mushroom soup and bring to a boil.  Add meat.  Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.  Add sour cream and serve over noodles.
