Fried Lumpia with Seasame Seeds

 

½ cup shrimp

2 bunches spring onions, coarsely chopped

1 ½ cup meat asado

5 – 8 pieces Chinese mushrooms (soak in water and cut into pieces)

1 cup bamboo shoots

2 egg yolks

2 Tablespoons flour

1 Tablespoon rice wine

dash of pepper, salt, and MSG (if desired)

10 – 12 pieces of lumpia wrapper

2 egg whites

½ cup sesame seeds

 

Meat Asado:

¾ cup hot stock

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 Tablespoons white wine

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon MSG (if desired)

2 cloves garlic crushed

1 cup pork or ham whole

 

For pork asado-chinese style: in a 2 qt saucepan, combine stock, sauce, brown sugar, white wine, salt, m.s.g.  Add garlic.  Put in pork.  Cover pan, bring to boil.  Lower heat and simmer until meat is tender.  Slice meat.

 

Combine all ingredients together.  Wrap in lumpia wrapper.  Grease steamer and steam for 10 minutes.  Rub with egg whites and sprinkle with sesame seeds.  Cool.  Deep fry until golden brown.
